Popcorn, Shoes and Job Skills - August 2013
Pittsfield MA

What do Popcorn, Shoes and Job Skills have in common?
You can get them all from Goodwill!

This summer, Business 101 meant popping popcorn, and area youth learned office skills, retail sales, merchandising, warehousing, how to sort and price clothing and shoes - including shoes to be worn by our Walk A Mile team on Sep 19! Read on...

When you are changing out to your closet for fall, don't forget Goodwill! In addition to gently-used clothing, accessories and housewares, did you know Goodwill is also the go-to place to recycle textiles, computers, keyboards, printers, shoes and clean cardboard?

With the addition of 3 new donation centers since last spring, there are now 11 Goodwill Donation Centers between Bennington VT and Sheffield MA. Reuse, repurpose and recycle with Goodwill of the Berkshires.

Speaking of shoes, the Goodwill Walk A Mile team will strut their stuff again this year, to raise money for the Elizabeth Freeman House during Pittsfield's Third Thursday event on September 19. Sponsor forms are available at the Goodwill donation drop-off center at 158 Tyler St. and at the retail stores. Come on out Third Thursday, buy some popcorn and cheer on our Goodwill walking team!

Donations, recycling initiatives and sales at Goodwill retail stores help people in our community get good jobs.
