Goodwill Volunteer Opportunity

Soft Skills Workshop and Workforce Development Programs

Goodwill is looking for volunteers who are interested in teaching and assisting in our Soft Skills workshop and other job training programs. Volunteers will coach individuals in new job skills and help them enhance their resumes for the job market.

The Soft Skills workshop is a peer-to-peer facilitated interactive workshop focused on job seeking and job retention. Participants learn the value of dependability, teamwork, problem-solving, time management and other personal skill development for getting a job and keeping it.

Community coaches work with Goodwill's Workforce Development staff facilitating the sessions and providing each individual with coaching and feedback focused on their needs.

Volunteers attend a 3 hour training session, where you will learn about Goodwill's mission, our programs, and how your volunteer services can have a positive impact on individuals, help them gain operational skills, soft skills and 'real work' experience that will strengthen their family's economic status.

Soft Skills Workshops are held at Goodwill, 158 Tyler St Pittsfield, on location at Mildred Elley in Pittsfield, in North Adams and other sites in the region.
